What is the average overhead for a small USA manufacturer as a % of actual cost of its manufactured goods ?

I want to determine an average or range (high to low) of the typical overhead costs (rent, utilities, insurance, clerical, administrative, marketing etc) that a small USA-based manufacturer would factor into the cost of its manufactured goods (in this case manufactured electrical components in a competitive industry). I would like an average overhead factor as a % of the typical manufactured cost of the item. The purpose is to establish the hypothetical average ';price point'; for a manufactured electrical item, taking into account its cost and the overhead. To the cost + overhead, we would then establish a profit and then compare the result to the market for similar items. If the overhead we actually have is out of sync with the average for similar small industries or is within the range, but too high, we would then know we had to tweak it. The result has to be limited to USA-based companies. Thanks for any input.
